Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said that prison rules must be followed and no political meetings are allowed in any prison.

Speaking to the private media channel, Azma Bokhari stated that it was a lie that water was thrown on protesters outside the Adiala.

She said that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi should have consulted a lawyer before writing the letter. she wished that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had read the prison rules. The Chief Minister has nothing to do with the issues of meeting prisoners, Azma Bokhari added.

Azma Bokhari remarked that the “Punjab Chief Minister does not need to respond to Sohail Afridi’s letter, prison rules must be followed, no political meetings are allowed in any prison, and the founder of PTI has had 420 meetings with lawyers.”

The Punjab Information Minister further said “that PTI workers gather outside the jail not for meetings but to create a situation of peace and order. The Punjab Chief Minister does not even discuss anything about her past while in prison. Imran Khan has even been given a regular attached bathroom with a commode.”

It should be noted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had written a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for preventing the sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan from meeting despite court permission.
