Rawalpindi: The funeral prayers of Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain Shaheed were offered at Chaklala Garrison, attended by the Prime Minister, Field Marshal, and senior leadership.


According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the funeral prayer of Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain Shaheed was held at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi. He was injured while leading his troops during an intelligence-based operation against terrorists backed by India in Balochistan yesterday and later embraced martyrdom.


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Ministers for Interior and Information, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, senior civil and military officials, retired officers, family members of the martyr, and a large number of citizens attended the funeral prayer.


On this occasion, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the unmatched bravery, sense of duty, and services of Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain Shaheed in defense of the homeland.
He stated that Pakistan’s armed forces, with the full support of the nation, are determined to completely eliminate terrorism backed by India and its facilitators.


The Prime Minister added that the great sacrifices of martyrs strengthen the nation’s resolve and reflect unwavering commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s peace, stability, and sovereignty.


According to ISPR, Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain Shaheed will be laid to rest in his native area with full military honors. The armed forces and the entire nation paid tribute to the martyr and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
