Pakistan passport home delivery system

Web Desk: Pakistan will begin delivering passports directly to applicants’ homes from July 1 under a new service reform aimed at reducing office visits, cutting waiting times and improving public service efficiency, an official said on Friday.

Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Director General of Immigration and Passports, announced the initiative during visits to several passport offices, where he reviewed service delivery and met applicants facing delays and complaints.

He directed staff to address public grievances quickly and improve overall efficiency in passport processing. He also stressed the need for a more citizen-focused approach across all service counters.

Under the new system, authorities will send passports directly to applicants through a dedicated delivery network. Officials expect the change to reduce long queues at passport offices and minimize repeated visits by citizens.

Randhawa said the upgraded service will operate with greater transparency and efficiency once it launches on July 1. He added that the initiative aims to make passport issuance more accessible and convenient.

Courier companies will handle deliveries under strict instructions to ensure secure and timely distribution of documents.

Randhawa said the government remains committed to modernizing public services and improving citizen experience. He emphasized that reforms in the passport system form part of broader efforts to introduce faster and more reliable administrative processes.
