Pakistan fast bowler Kainat Imtiaz has announced her retirement from international cricket.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Kainat Imtiaz represented Pakistan in 19 ODIs and 21 T20Is.

Kainat Imtiaz was part of the Pakistan teams that won Asian Games gold medals in 2010 and 2014. She played her last ODI against Australia in January 2023.

Kainat Imtiaz played her final T20I against Thailand in October 2022. She had also become associated with the field of commentary.

Kainat Imtiaz is now also serving as a women’s match referee and recently began her career in the role.

Kainat Imtiaz’s mother is also associated with umpiring. Saleema Imtiaz is the first Pakistani woman umpire to be included in the ICC International Development Panel.

Saleema Imtiaz has so far officiated in nine Women’s ODIs and 69 Women’s T20Is.
