Web Desk: Users across many countries including Pakistan are facing problems due to a disruption in the services of the social media platform Instagram. The issue has made it difficult for many people to use the platform normally.

Many users reported that they cannot send or receive messages. Others said that their feed is not loading properly and some users cannot open the app at all. This sudden disruption has created frustration among thousands of people who depend on the platform for communication and content sharing.

According to the monitoring website Downdetector reports about the problem in Pakistan started around 7:10 in the morning. Within a short time thousands of users began reporting the issue which indicated a widespread technical problem.

Reports show that more than 13 thousand complaints were recorded. Around 71 percent of users reported that the app was not working properly. Nearly 20 percent said they were facing server connection issues that prevented them from using the service normally.

The disruption is mainly affecting the direct messaging feature. Because of this users are unable to send or receive private messages. Similar complaints have also appeared from users in the United States and other parts of the world.

Reports also suggest that users in parts of Europe Canada and possibly the Middle East are facing the same issue. So far the parent company Meta Platforms has not released any official statement about the reason for the outage or when the service will fully return to normal.

After the disruption many users turned to other social media platforms to share their complaints and reactions. Experts say that such problems can happen because of heavy server load or a possible cyber attack that affects the system.
