Web Desk: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominations for the Player of the Tournament award for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Among the nominated players is Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan. Farhan scored 383 runs in 7 matches with an impressive average of 76.60 and a strike rate of 160.25. He also set a new record by scoring 383 runs in just 6 innings, the highest runs scored in a single edition of a T20 World Cup.
Farhan scored centuries against Sri Lanka and Namibia, becoming the only batter to score two centuries in a single T20 World Cup.
India’s Sanju Samson has also been shortlisted for the Player of the Tournament award. Other nominees include England’s Will Jacks, South Africa’s Lungi Ngidi and Aiden Markram, as well as New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra and Tim Seifert. From the United States, Shadley van Schalkwyk has also been nominated among the best players.
