Web desk: Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection and fasting. Therefore you must stay hydrated and maintain your energy for good health. In fact healthy Ramadan drinks help prevent dehydration fatigue and digestive discomfort. Moreover natural homemade drinks give your body essential nutrients after long fasting hours.

First you can prepare a healthier version of Rooh Afza milk at home. Simply mix one glass of low fat milk with one tablespoon of Rooh Afza syrup. Then add one teaspoon of chia seeds and a little honey if needed. After that let the chia seeds soak for a few minutes before drinking. As a result you will feel full for a longer time.

In addition you can make a fresh lemon mint drink for quick hydration. To begin blend mint leaves with a glass of cold water. Next add the juice of one lemon along with a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of pink salt. This drink not only restores electrolytes but also supports digestion.

For Sehri a banana and date smoothie works very well. For example blend one banana with two or three dates and a glass of milk. You can also add a spoon of peanut butter for extra energy. Consequently this smoothie keeps you full and provides steady energy during the fast.

Similarly watermelon juice offers excellent hydration. Since it contains high water content it helps your body stay refreshed. Just blend fresh watermelon cubes with a few basil leaves and some cold water. Most importantly drink it fresh for the best results.

Another healthy option is almond and saffron milk. First blend soaked peeled almonds into warm milk. Then add a pinch of saffron and a small amount of honey. As a result this drink boosts energy and supports brain health.

Meanwhile cucumber and mint juice helps cool the body in hot weather. To prepare it blend half a cucumber with mint leaves and lemon juice. Finally add a pinch of black salt and cold water. In this way you can stay refreshed and hydrated.

Overall drink enough water between Iftar and Sehri. Also avoid too much caffeine because it increases dehydration. By adding these healthy Ramadan drinks to your routine you can stay energized refreshed and better prepared throughout the holy month.
