Web Desk: A deadlock over the school holiday calendar persisted on Tuesday as government authorities proposed a revised schedule that includes 76 days of summer vacation and 17 days of winter holidays, while stakeholders have yet to reach a consensus.

According to official sources, the government presented the proposal during ongoing consultations aimed at finalizing the academic calendar for educational institutions. However, discussions between officials and key stakeholders remain inconclusive.

Under the proposed plan, schools would observe 76 days of summer vacations and 17 days of winter holidays. Authorities say the suggested schedule seeks to balance academic requirements with seasonal weather conditions.

Nevertheless, several stakeholders continue to raise concerns over the duration and timing of the proposed breaks. As a result, the matter remains unresolved despite multiple rounds of discussions.

Meanwhile, officials indicated that further consultations will take place in the coming days to bridge differences and reach an agreement on the holiday schedule.

Until a consensus is achieved, the final decision on the school vacation calendar will remain pending, officials said.
