Web Desk: Google has started rolling out a newly redesigned Google Maps settings screen. The new design is currently being released to a limited number of users and can be seen in the beta version on Pixel phones.
The updated settings screen has been organised in a simple and structured layout, with options divided into seven main sections, making navigation easier for users.
One major change is that the Sign Out button is now placed in a more prominent location, whereas previously users had to scroll down to find it. In addition, the back arrow previously located in the top-left corner has been replaced with an X button in the top-right corner to close the settings screen.
Google has also relocated some options into more relevant menus for better usability. However, the overall design still does not fully adopt the Material 3 Expressive style, even though this design language has already been implemented in several other Google apps.
