Web Desk: Due to thick fog from Rahim Yar Khan to Rohri the M-5 Motorway has been closed for traffic. According to the officials the decision was made to ensure the safety of lives and property.
The Spokesperson has advised the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and if possible, travel during daytime and he also warned that lane violations during fog can cause accidents and urged that road users to strictly follow lane discipline.
The spokesperson said that vehicle entry on the M-2 Lahore to Kot Momin Has been prohibited and the M-3 from Lahore to Darkhana, the M-5 from Multan to Zahir Pir, and the M-4 from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem have also been banned. Due to have fog the Sialkot Motorway (M-11) has been completely shut due to poor visibility as the traffic flow on national highways also severely affected.
