Comedian Kashif Khan has explained how to avoid excessive spending on daughters’ weddings.

Recently, Kashif Khan participated in a private TV channel’s Ramadan transmission, where he discussed various aspects of life, including marriage.

When the host asked how wedding expenses can be reduced and whether everyone has high expectations for a first wedding, he responded that such expectations are natural. He said people should fulfill their desires while also keeping expenses under control.

Sharing tips on reducing costs, he advised avoiding the purchase of expensive dresses and jewelry, noting that good designer outfits can be rented, and even gold and silver jewelry is available on rent.

Regarding giving gifts to the groom’s family, Kashif Khan said that in his daughter’s wedding, they had already decided in advance that each side would fulfill its own responsibilities. He added that the tradition of giving clothes to relatives has become common, but nowadays no one makes outfits for the entire extended family.

He further suggested that combining mehndi and wedding ceremonies into a single event (a “shendi”) can also help reduce expenses.

It is worth noting that Kashif Khan’s daughter, Rabica Khan, is a social media influencer, and several wedding events were organized for her. However, the multiple ceremonies and expenses drew criticism as well.
