For the upcoming academic year 2026–27, the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) has introduced 75 fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students. This promotes educational collaboration between the Government of China and Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan has assigned the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as the nominating agency to select applicants for the program.
Students can apply for scholarships for undergraduate (BS), master’s (MS), and doctoral (PhD) studies. Numerous Chinese universities offer these programs in a variety of disciplines.
The scholarships include a one-year Chinese language course. It is for students without an HSK Level 3 certificate. Postgraduate students can study in English. They can also choose programs taught in Chinese.
The announcement states the scholarship provides full and comprehensive scholarships for the entire duration of studies. This encompasses the tuition fee and accommodation or a housing allowance. Students will be provided a monthly allowance according to the CSC policy. However, students will cover the expenses of their travel. The HEC has disclosed it will not cover any of the expenses in the program.
Applicants must be in good shape and must be from Pakistan or AJK, and should be single nationality holders. The committee will not entertain applicants who have incomplete degrees by the deadline.
Also, candidates must meet the CSC conditions and their targeted Chinese universities conditions for admissions.
Besides these conditions, candidates must submit valid score results of HAT or USAT with a score of above 50. HAT’s results are valid for 2 years while USAT’s results are valid for 1 years.
If you want to get into a medical, engineering, law, architecture, or veterinary program, make sure it’s recognized by relevant professional council, like the PMDC, PEC, or PBC. Also, don’t forget to check the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s latest foreign admission policy for medical degrees. It is said that because of the recent scholarship program, greater educational access, and stronger educational cooperation will be achieved between Pakistan and China.
