Web desk: Famous British rapper and singer Central C has announced that he has embraced Islam.
During a live stream, the artist recited the Shahada and confirmed his conversion to Islam. He also revealed that he has changed his name.
The 27-year-old, whose birth name is Oakley Neil Caesar-So, said he changed his first name from Oakley to Aqeel after accepting Islam. Friends present during the live stream congratulated him as he recited the Shahada.
Central C did not share further details about his spiritual journey. However, some of his previous social media posts had Arabic captions, which led fans to speculate about his interest in Islam. Until now, he had not publicly discussed his religious beliefs.
Central C rose to global fame with his hit song “Too Much,” released in 2023. He is known for his unique music style and relatable lyrics, earning him millions of fans worldwide.
