Bangladesh live protest: Protestors attack home of Indian deputy ambassador to Dhaka

After the death of Bangladesh student leader Osman Hadi, hundreds of student protestors surrounded the home of the Indian deputy ambassador to Dhaka. Protesters also blocked a major highway linking the capital with the central city of Mymensingh and attacked the home of a former minister in Chittagong.

Newspaper offices:

According to several media reports, student protestors attacked on two leading newspaper offices, including Daily Prothom Alo and Daily Star in Dhaka.

Sheikh Mujib’s House:

After the announcement of the young revolutionary leader Sharif Osman Hadi’s martyrdom, Bangladeshi youth attacked Sheikh Mujib’s house and set it on fire.

Five Million Taka reward:

Bangladeshi police have launched a manhunt for Sharif Osman Hadi’s shooters. The authorities released the photographs of two major suspects and offered a reward of five million taka for providing information. According to the calculation, five million taka is almost $42,000.

Indian High Commission:

Protesters in Chittagong staged a protest in front of the Indian High Commission.  Bangladeshi youth are protesting against the Indian government for supporting the terrorists who killed Osman Hadi.
