A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honor to the martyrs. Floral wreaths were laid on the coffins, and special prayers were offered for the elevation of their ranks and the peace of the country.
Following the ceremony, the bodies of the martyrs — Constables Yar Zada, Dawood Khan, Imran, and Siraj — were sent to their native areas under police escort, where they will be laid to rest with full official honors.
According to details, during the holy month of Ramadan, special police units were deployed across highways and markets to ensure public safety.
Shortly before Iftar, militants ambushed the Ababeel Squad patrol near Nawey Kallay, resulting in the martyrdom of four personnel and injuries to two others. The injured officials, Irshad Khan and Aziz ur Rehman, are receiving medical treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital in Khar.
