Ambulance services operators protesting across Punjab

Web Desk: The Private ambulance service operators across Punjab staged protests on Monday (Today) against hefty fines and what they termed the fines unfair administrative steps.

According to Ambulance owners and drivers that they regularly support emergency response efforts alongside the Pakistan Armed Forces, Punjab Police, and other institutions during accidents, disasters, and medical emergencies.

Protesters said that the imposition of heavy fines has badly affected their livelihoods, making it difficult for them to fulfill the basic needs. They said that despite providing critical public services their grievances are being ignored.

The demonstrations led to a strike by private ambulance services operators in Rawalpindi and Islamabad caused inconvenience to patients and the general public. As per the Protesters the Punjab government to take immediate notice of their concerns and review the fines to ensure uninterrupted emergency services.
