A breaking development has emerged from the United States. Another Afghan national has been arrested in Texas on terrorism-related charges.
U.S. media report that the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI carried out a joint operation. They arrested Mohammad Dawood Alokozai, an Afghan citizen living in the state. Officials say the suspect recorded a video message. In the video, he claimed that he was building a bomb. He also said that his target was the Fort Worth area in Texas.
Reports further state that Alokozai entered the United States under President Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome program. He had been resettled in the country after leaving Afghanistan. Despite this, he allegedly threatened to carry out an attack on U.S. soil.
The video surfaced only two days after the incident at the White House. The timing raised concerns among security officials. The FBI and Texas DPS acted immediately. They tracked the suspect and took him into custody without delay.
Authorities are now investigating the case. More details are expected as the inquiry continues.
