Karachi: Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has once again deleted all photos and posts from her Instagram account, leaving her millions of followers puzzled and sparking fresh debate about the young star’s emotional well-being.
Known for her outspoken personality and frequent social media controversies, Alizeh’s latest move comes amid ongoing tensions between the actress, her fans and the entertainment industry.
In a viral video circulating online, Alizeh confirmed that she had wiped her Instagram clean, saying she felt “both happy and embarrassed” about her decision. “I’ve deleted all my pictures and posts,” she said. “I don’t know what I was doing with my life before it all happened under the influence of grief. I don’t know when I’ll return to social media, but my old pictures won’t come back and neither will the old Alizeh.”
Mental Health Struggles
The actress, who rose to fame for her performances in Ehd-e-Wafa and Ishq Tamasha, has previously spoken about her struggles with mental health. In September, she revealed through an Instagram story that she had been diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), citing “toxic behavior” in the showbiz industry as a major factor.
“What happened to me in this industry broke me to the point of self-hatred,” she had written. “I often wonder why I ever became part of this world — where people keep you on set for 12 hours and treat you like you’re nothing. The trauma has destroyed me from within.”
This is not the first time Alizeh has taken a digital step back. She previously deleted her social media content in September last year and again in April this year, each time sparking speculation about her future in the entertainment industry.
While Alizeh has not announced any upcoming projects, her latest move has reignited conversations around the mental health pressures faced by young Pakistani celebrities navigating fame, criticism, and the unforgiving glare of social media.
