Attaullah Tarar

Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar has been nominated for Sitara-i-Imtiaz, the third-highest civilian award in Pakistan.

He is being considered for the prestigious award due to his important role during Pak-India conflict.

Sitara-i-Imtiaz recognises individuals who have made an “especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of Pakistan, world peace, cultural or other significant public endeavours”

It is given to a person who has accomplished duty beyond what is assigned to him/her. To receive this honour, the individuals are expected to show eminence and be outstanding in providing excellent service in a significant field of activity beyond what they are assigned to.

It is pertinent to mention that Attaullah Tarar played a key role in communicating Pakistan’s stance to the international community.

Because of this, he earned a lot of praise.

Press Information Officer Mubasher Hasan has also been nominated for the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.

These nominations were made by Pakistan Army.

Every year on Pakistan Day, March 23, the government awards this honour to deserving individuals.

The conflict between India and Pakistan started after Pahalgam incident.

In May, India launched Operation Sindoor, which failed miserably. Despite being a large country by land and population, India faced global embarrassment when its Rafales were shot down by the Pakistan Air Force. To this day, the Indian Army remains reluctant to speak on the matter.
