A facilitator linked to India’s intelligence agency RAW and a marketing agency accused of spreading anti-Pakistan propaganda on social media have been taken into custody by law enforcement agencies.
During an interview with senior journalist Waseem Badami, the facilitator made key revelations regarding an anti-Pakistan social media campaign. He claimed that millions of rupees were spent to promote false and misleading content against Pakistan and confessed that the campaign had links with a banned Action Committee.
According to the facilitator, his website received an order in March this year requesting various online services. The purpose of the order, he claimed, was to promote fabricated videos and false content about the situation in Kashmir on social media, for which millions of rupees were allegedly paid.
In the interview, the facilitator further claimed that after several days of promoting anti-Pakistan content, Pakistan’s security agencies contacted him and obtained all relevant information during the investigation. He alleged that investigators found the material was being provided by members of the banned Action Committee with the support of India’s intelligence agency RAW, while large sums of money were being spent on its promotion.
He explained that whenever an order is received, its details are reviewed first. If a client provides designs or content, it is uploaded into the system before the requested number of views, likes, comments, reactions or other social media services are delivered.
According to him, clients first select a package based on their requirements, including views, likes, comments and other services, after which the requested services are provided accordingly.
He further claimed that, in most cases, these services are carried out through various agents or third-party service providers based in Pakistan, who work behind the scenes and deliver the requested results after completing the order.
Discussing the payment process, the facilitator said that a third-party payment gateway, Stripe, is used, where client payments are received before being transferred to a linked bank account. He added that Stripe facilitates virtual banking and international payments in various countries, making it possible to receive funds from abroad.
He also said that users purchase services for Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms through different third-party websites. After an order is received, it is reviewed to ensure the requested services are delivered correctly.
According to the facilitator, his company also develops websites, provides online services and determines services and pricing according to business needs. He added that competition in the industry is intense, so websites are optimized through SEO, social media accounts and promotional campaigns to improve their ranking in Google search results.
He said that satisfied customers leave positive ratings, which improve a profile’s credibility and increase the chances of attracting more clients in the future.
