Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni has arrived in Islamabad along with a delegation on an official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
During the visit, the two sides are expected to discuss bilateral relations, security cooperation, border management, and other issues of mutual interest.
The Iranian delegation was received by Pakistani officials upon arrival in Islamabad. During his stay, Momeni is expected to hold meetings with senior Pakistani leaders to discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
Pakistan and Iran share longstanding relations, with both countries placing particular importance on cooperation in border security, trade, counterterrorism, and regional peace and stability.
In recent years, the two countries have increased bilateral engagement, with high-level exchanges aimed at further strengthening their ties.
