Qamar Raza has strongly rejected claims made by the proscribed Awami Action Committee regarding Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, describing them as baseless, fabricated and misleading propaganda.
He said the committee had claimed that it wrote a letter to a senior figure, who then appointed Qamar Raza as a special representative to establish contact and hold negotiations with the group. Raza categorically denied the claim, saying it had no truth and was an attempt to mislead the public.
According to Qamar Raza, no senior figure asked him to contact the proscribed Awami Action Committee or appointed him as a representative. He added that he has no role in any talks or communication with the group.
He further said that senior state figures have no spare time for “such elements” and described attempts to link the country’s leadership with such claims as irresponsible.
Qamar Raza also alleged that the committee was using the names of state figures to create a false narrative and cover up its own failures. He urged the public to remain cautious of unverified claims and social media propaganda, adding that making false claims in the name of state institutions and senior officials amounts to misleading the public.
