ICC releases latest rankings as Green Shirts retain key positions

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest player rankings, with New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell retaining the top position in the ODI batting rankings.


The ratings gap between Daryl Mitchell and Shubman Gill has narrowed to just 11 points. Pakistan’s former captain Babar Azam is ranked seventh, while Salman Ali Agha is 18th.


In the ODI bowling rankings, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains No. 1, while Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed is ranked second. South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj has moved up one place to third, while Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi has dropped one spot to ninth.


In the T20I batting rankings, India’s Ishan Kishan continues to hold the No. 1 position, while Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan is ranked third.

The latest ICC rankings highlight the growing influence of Pakistan’s players in the shortest format of the game. Abrar Ahmed’s maintaining to No. 2 among bowlers, along with Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub maintaining top three positions in their respective categories, underline Pakistan’s strong presence.


The recent rankings are expected to boost the confidence of Pakistani players ahead of upcoming international tours of West Indies and England with teams aiming to build momentum before major ICC events. Consistent performances in bilateral series and franchise cricket will contribute to shaping future rankings.
