Operation Shabaan in Balochistan

Security forces have intensified Operation Shaaban against militants in Balochistan, with the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police conducting joint operations that killed nine more suspected militants, according to security sources.

Sources said the latest operations targeted militant positions through both ground and aerial strikes, resulting in the destruction of several hideouts.

According to security officials, the operation in the Shaaban area is aimed at dismantling militant networks, hideouts, and facilitators allegedly linked to what the state refers to as “Fitna al-Hindustan.”

The forces are pursuing militants through intelligence-based operations, aerial surveillance, and ground offensives, while search and clearance operations continue to prevent any suspects from escaping.

Security sources said the latest action has brought the number of militants killed during Operation Shaaban to 52, while a total of 88 suspected militants have been killed in various operations across Balochistan since July 5.

Officials added that weapons, ammunition, and other equipment used by the militants are also being recovered, while intelligence-led operations are continuing to identify additional targets.

Security sources said militant elements will not be allowed to regroup or carry out any further acts of violence. Forces have been directed to continue indiscriminate action against militants and their facilitators to ensure the restoration of peace and stability in Balochistan.

According to the sources, close coordination between the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police has contributed to significant losses among militant groups.

Security officials reiterated that Operation Shaaban will continue until the last militant is eliminated and that all available resources will be used to eradicate terrorism from the province.
