According to ISPR, following the train incident on May 4, 2026, Pakistan’s security forces launched a series of coordinated intelligence-based operations across several districts of Balochistan.
According to details, these operations were carried out in various areas including Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar, and Kech, during which security forces effectively targeted multiple terrorist hideouts.
After intense exchanges of fire, 17 terrorists belonging to the India-backed group Fitna al-Hindustan were killed, dealing a significant blow to the operational networks of terrorists in the region.
Security forces also recovered a large cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the possession of the slain terrorists. These terrorists had been actively involved in multiple high-profile terrorist activities in the area.
A sanitization operation is ongoing to completely clear the affected areas.
The counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace as security forces and law enforcement agencies work to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the professionalism and chivalry of the armed forces and reiterated that Pakistan Armed forces will counter all such elements with precision. He also highlighted that India is sponsoring these elements to disrupt the internal peace and progress of the country.
