Motorway police issue important travel guidelines for post-Eid travellers

According to the Motorway Police, a huge influx in traffic flow is expected on national highways and motorways after the end of Eid holidays, as a large number of citizens will be travelling back to cities from their hometowns. In view ensuing situation, special instructions have been issued to ensure safe and smooth traffic management.

A spokesperson for the Motorway Police advised travellers to strictly comply with the prescribed speed limits during their journey and avoid over speeding under any circumstances. They stressed that ensuring safe driving is the responsibility of every citizen in order to avoid unfavourable situations.

Besides this, drivers must strictly follow lane discipline rule and remain in their designated lanes while driving. Full attention must be kept on the road during driving, and any form of negligence or use of mobile phones should be discouraged. The use of seat belts has also been highly recommended to minimize loss of life in case of any emergency situation.

The Motorway Police also warned that driving in a state of drowsiness or physical fatigue can prove fatal, and in such conditions, it is necessary to stop and rest before continuing the journey.

The public has been advised to exercise cautious driving habits, fully comply with traffic laws, and also take care of the safety of others on the road.

In the face of intense summer heat, the authorities advised travelers to keep water and essential items with them during their journey so that they remain comfortable and prepared for any difficult situation.
