Australian captain Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the ODI series against Pakistan.
According to media sources, the first ODI between Pakistan and Australia is scheduled for May 30 in Rawalpindi.
In this regard, Cricket Australia said that captain Mitchell Marsh will not play the ODI series due to an ankle injury.
Cricket Australia said that wicketkeeper Josh Inglis will lead the team in the series, while Mitchell Marsh will remain in Perth for treatment and further examination.
Cricket Australia also said that Mitchell Marsh’s availability for the white-ball series against Bangladesh will be decided later.
The three-match ODI series between Pakistan national cricket team and Australia will be played from May 30 to June 4 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead Pakistan in the ODI series against Australia, while Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas and Roheel Nazir have been included in the squad.
Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem have returned to the national side. Sahibzada Farhan, Shadab Khan, Shamyl Hussain and Sufiyan Muqeem are also part of the 16-member squad for the Australia series. Muhammad Ghazi Ghori and Roheel Nazir have been included as wicketkeeper-batters.
