Web Desk: Police in Pakistan’s Karachi said that investigators have uncovered new details about an alleged narcotics trafficking network linked to accused Anmol, also known as “Pinky,” and her former husband, Nasser, as proceedings in a separate court matter were moved to jail for security reasons.
The investigation into the alleged drug supply chain has revealed how the network allegedly evolved over time and expanded across major cities.
According to police findings, Nasser initially operated small-scale businesses in Lahore, including guest houses and liquor-related trade, along with his two brothers. Officials said the group later expanded its activities and allegedly entered cocaine distribution, involving close associates including relatives and a friend.
Investigators further claimed that Nasser later trained Anmol, after which both allegedly became involved in distributing cocaine across Lahore, Karachi and other cities. Police said the network gradually widened as Nasser relocated to Karachi with his brothers to strengthen operations.
Anmol reportedly separated from Nasser in 2021 after marrying another individual, identified in police records, while the investigation continues into additional aspects of the case.
Meanwhile, a Karachi sessions court ordered that hearings involving Anmol be conducted inside prison rather than at the city court, citing security concerns and risks to public order.
The court said the decision applied to a case registered under serious charges, including murder provisions, and directed judicial officials to complete remand proceedings within the jail complex instead of producing the accused in court.
Police had requested the arrangement, arguing that transporting the suspect to court could create law and order risks.
Authorities also confirmed that police in Darakhshan have filed a review petition challenging the accused’s judicial remand, with further hearings expected in the coming days.
Investigations into the broader network and its alleged links remain ongoing as law enforcement seeks to determine the full scope of operations.
