With rise in fuel prices, the trend of electric vehicles (EVs) in Pakistan is growing rapidly, especially in the segment of cars priced under 60 lakh, making them more accessible to middle-class buyers.

Earlier, EVs were largely limited to the luxury class, but now companies are introducing more budget-friendly options, expanding consumer choice and interest.


In this price range, the MG Binguo has emerged as one of the mostsought after options, offering a driving range of around 270 km along with modern features.

Additionally, the Honri VE stands out as Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric hatchback, available between 40–50 lakh and known for its low maintenance costs.

Otheroptions such as the JMEV EV3 are gaining attention due to their good range and fast charging capability, while the GUGO GIGI and Inverex XIO cater to users looking for affordable city-driving solutions.


This trend marks a landmark shift in Pakistan’s automotive market, as electric cars are becoming more practical for everyday use.

With local manufacturing and the entry of international investors in automobiles, prices are expected to decrease further in the coming years, making EVs even more budget friendly for middle class .


Arange of EVs in this category offer a range between 180 to 300 km, which is sufficient for daily commuting. At the same time, charging costs are significantly lower compared to petrol vehicles, providing long-term savings for users.

Furthermore, EVs require less maintenance expense as they do not rely on engine oil or complex mechanical systems.


In a nutshell, thesedevelopments indicate that Pakistan is swiftly shifting towards electric mobility.

With users need, supportive policies, and expanding infrastructure, the EV market is expected to grow rapidly, paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable transportation future.
