Web Desk: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) announced on Thursday that it will suspend operations at all service centers in the federal capital for two days following a local holiday declaration by the Islamabad administration.
According to an official notice, all NADRA offices in Islamabad will remain closed on April 9 and 10, 2026. This closure includes the high-volume mega centers, which typically operate on a 24-hour cycle to provide identity documentation services to the public.
To facilitate the transition, authorities confirmed that the 24-hour mega centers will suspend their services starting Thursday at 8:00 a.m. These facilities plan to resume normal operations on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. after the two-day hiatus.
The suspension of services follows a directive from the Islamabad local administration regarding a scheduled public holiday. Consequently, NADRA advised citizens to plan their visits accordingly and noted that the closure affects all registration centers within the capital’s jurisdiction.
While the physical offices remain shut, the authority maintains various online portals for basic identity renewals to mitigate the impact on residents. Normal business hours for all administrative and regional offices in the federal territory will resume as scheduled following the weekend.
