Renowned singer Meesha Shafi has reacted on social media following the court’s decision in the defamation case.

Through her Instagram stories, she shared messages and poetry about women’s courage and independence, indicating that she is viewing this phase as a personal trial and is now focusing on healing and moving forward.

According to Meesha Shafi, she has gone through this experience and is now heading towards a journey of recovery. She stated that speaking the truth is her real success and that she will continue to strengthen herself through her work.

It is worth mentioning that this controversy began around eight years ago when she accused Ali Zafar of harassment, after which a long legal battle continued between the two.

In the recent court decision, the verdict was given in favor of Ali Zafar, while Meesha Shafi has been ordered to pay 5 million rupees in damages.

It is worth noting that Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar were once close friends since their college days and even worked together on the song “Chal Dil Mere.” However, the allegations led to a prolonged legal battle that has now stretched over eight years and is still ongoing in court.

Recently Meesha Shafi’s mother Saba Hameed also appeared in court on behalf of her daughter, as Meesha Shafi is residing in Canada. She had been actively following the case and representing her daughter in legal proceedings.
