The All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association has decided to postpone the nationwide shutdown of petrol pumps on March 27 after recent developments and ongoing discussions.

According to details, the association had earlier warned of a countrywide closure if their concerns were not addressed. However, in the latest update, the association has chosen to delay any final decision and continue efforts to resolve the issues through dialogue.

The association has also sought an urgent meeting with the Petroleum Minister, stating that a previous letter sent on March 6 had not received a response. It highlighted that the petroleum sector is facing operational challenges, financial pressures, pricing concerns, and frequent policy changes.

Representatives of the association said that issues affecting thousands of petrol pump owners across the country require immediate attention. They added that instead of moving towards a shutdown, they expect the government to engage stakeholders and address their concerns through consultation.

The association emphasized that the matter remains under review and any further decision will be taken after the outcome of talks with the authorities.
