Lahore: Kia and Haval motors Pakistan both have issued official statements, addressing customer concerns regarding rising high-octane fuel prices, assuring that its vehicles do not require expensive fuel for normal operation.
Kia motors statement
According Lucky Motor Corporation, Kia vehicles in Pakistan are designed and tested to run efficiently on unleaded fuel with a minimum octane rating of RON 91 or above, as specified in the owner’s manual.
The company clarified that customers can continue using RON 92 fuel—commonly available as Super or Premier petrol—without any impact on vehicle performance or reliability. It emphasized that the use or mixing of high-octane fuel is not mandatory for Kia models in the country.
The statement emerged amid growing concerns among car owners following recent surge in high-octane fuel prices, which led many consumers to question fuel compatibility for modern vehicles.
