Web Desk: The Central Anjuman Imamia of Gilgit-Baltistan has called on citizens to participate in a peaceful protest rally against recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran, emphasizing calm and restraint during demonstrations. Clerics warned that violent actions could play into the hands of the country’s adversaries.
According to a statement from the Anjuman, the rally will begin at the Central Imamia Mosque in Gilgit after the Dhuhr prayer. Participants unable to travel to Gilgit are encouraged to organise peaceful protests in their local areas. Religious leaders stressed discipline, unity and adherence to the law to ensure the demonstrations remain effective yet non-violent.
The statement highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic and moral support for Iran and stressed the importance of public solidarity. Clerics urged Muslims to express their support within the framework of law and Sharia, avoiding impulsive or emotional reactions. A spokesperson for the Anjuman said the peaceful rally would send a strong message of unity and solidarity with Iran to Muslims worldwide.
