Sohail Afridi vows no compromise on National Security amid Pak-Afghan border tensions

Peshawar: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, has termed the recent tensions along the Pak-Afghan border as concerning and said that the situation is being closely monitored.


He stated that protecting every inch of Pakistan is a national duty for all of us, and no one will be allowed to compromise the security of border areas.


The Chief Minister condemned any kind of provocation and external aggression along the Pak-Afghan border, making it clear that there will be no compromise on national security. He added that he is in continuous contact with the relevant institutions in view of the ongoing tensions.


He further said that the protection of people living in border areas is the government’s top priority, and necessary measures are being taken to safeguard the lives and property of citizens in border districts.


The Chief Minister said he is aware of the public concerns arising from the Pak-Afghan tensions and assured that the people of border areas will not be left alone under any circumstances.


He directed the administration to remain on high alert to deal with any emergency situation and emphasized that responsible conduct is essential for maintaining peace and stability.
