Web Desk: The Pakistan Armed Forces have destroyed key military installations of the Afghan Taliban regime in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia through effective airstrikes, according to security sources.
During the latest Pakistan Air Force air operations, two brigade headquarters were destroyed in Kabul, security sources said. In Kandahar, one corps headquarters and one brigade headquarters were destroyed during the airstrikes, according to security sources.
During the Pakistan Air Force strikes in Kandahar, an ammunition depot and a logistics base were also destroyed, security sources added. In Paktia, a corps headquarters was also destroyed during the effective air operation by the Pakistan Air Force, according to security sources.
Officials further claimed that the strikes destroyed battalion and sector headquarters and dozens of military assets, including tanks, artillery guns and armored personnel carriers. They also said more than 70 Afghan Taliban personnel were killed and over 100 wounded in an operation they referred to as “Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq.”
Pakistani security sources alleged that Afghan Education Minister Nida Mohammad Nadim was killed near Spin Boldak during the air campaign. There was no immediate response from Afghan authorities regarding the claim.
Meanwhile, officials said fighting extended to the Kharlachi terminal along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, where Pakistani forces reportedly destroyed several Afghan Taliban posts.
Security officials also said four Afghan Taliban fighters were detained near Torkham after being left behind during the retreat.
Pakistan’s military reiterated that it remains prepared to respond to any future border violations. “The armed forces are ready to make every sacrifice for the defense of the homeland,” a security official said, adding that any further provocation would draw an immediate response.
The escalation marks one of the most serious reported flare-ups in recent months along the disputed frontier, which has seen periodic clashes since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in Kabul in 2021.
