Rawalpindi: The former superintendent of Adiala Jail arranged 25 medical check-ups for Imran Khan over a period of one and a half years.These check ups include appointments with senior medical practitioners.
On August 29, 2025, after complaints of weakened eyesight, Imran Khan’s eyes were examined for the first time by Dr. Arif, Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). Later, his eyes were examined twice again in January.
Abdul Ghafoor Anjum, on his last day as superintendent of Adiala Jail — January 16 — also arranged a medical check-up for the PTI founder by a three-member team from PIMS.
It is worth noting that leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have expressed concerns regarding the health of the party’s founder and have alleged negligence on the part of former superintendent Abdul Ghafoor Anjum.
