Traders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have rejected the provincial government’s and PTI’s call to shut markets on February 8 as part of a protest.
Talking to media ,traders in Peshawar expressed great concerns over the status quo in the province and rejected PTI’s shutter down call. They said that the business situation in Peshawar was extremely poor owing to poor governance and security situation in the province. “Under no circumstances are we prepared to close our shops on February 8”,the traders said.
The traders blamed the provincial govt for creating no business opportunities in the province during their long 13 years tenure. They stated that they hardly earned their two times bread and such decisions were meant to starve their families.
The business community condemned such decisions by the KP govt and appealed to withdraw the decision for the shutter down .They insisted that the govt should provide them relief instead of depriving them from their livelihood.
“We will neither shut down our businesses nor participate in any protest” ,they stated categorically.
