Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team returned to Islamabad on Monday after defeating India by 191 runs in the Men’s ACC Under-19 Asia Cup final and received a warm welcome from jubilant fans at Islamabad International Airport.

Supporters gathered outside the terminal, beating drums, chanting slogans and waving national flags as they waited for the newly crowned champions, who clinched the title with a dominant win in Dubai.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmad Syed, Director High Performance Aqib Javed and other officials welcomed the team on arrival.

Fans showered rose petals on the players, placed flower garlands around their necks and cheered loudly to celebrate the historic victory over India.

Young supporters sang patriotic songs and raised pro-team slogans, while many older fans congratulated the players and prayed for their success in future tournaments, including the Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Despite the cold December night, the atmosphere outside the airport remained lively, with fans calling out the names of their favourite players and holding banners to mark the memorable win.

The players later left for their hotel under VIP security arrangements.

Pakistan secured the Under-19 Asia Cup title on Sunday after posting a massive total of 347 runs in the final at the ICC Academy and bowling India out for 156 in 26.2 overs.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet the victorious squad later today to congratulate them on their outstanding performance.
