Kulachi area

Di Khan: Security forces successfully carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, targeting terrorists affiliated with the India-backed militant group, Fitna al Khwarij. The operation, which was launched after receiving intelligence reports of the militants’ presence in the area, led to a fierce confrontation.

Intense Firefight Leads to Casualties

During the operation, Pakistani troops engaged the militants, resulting in an intense exchange of fire. The clash ended with the elimination of seven khawarij, who were confirmed to have been involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region. These militants, allegedly backed by Indian proxies, had been operating in the area with the intent to disrupt peace and stability.

Naik Yasir Khan’s Ultimate Sacrifice

However, the operation came at a heavy price. Naik Yasir Khan, a brave 34-year-old soldier from District Mardan, embraced martyrdom during the firefight. He fought valiantly alongside his comrades, but sadly, paid the ultimate sacrifice for the defense of his country. His death underscores the relentless courage and commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces in their fight against terrorism.

Weapons and Ammunition Recovered

In addition to neutralizing the threat, security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition from the slain militants. These weapons are believed to have been used in various terrorist activities within the region, further linking the militants to external forces.

Continued Efforts Against Terrorism

Following the operation, security forces launched a sanitization operation to clear the area of any remaining militants or hostile elements. The ongoing effort is part of Pakistan’s broader counter-terrorism campaign, which operates under the strategic framework Azm-e-Istehkam (Determination of Stability), approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. This vision continues to guide Pakistan’s comprehensive efforts to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from its soil.

Security Forces’ Relentless Commitment to National Security

Pakistan’s security forces, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, remain resolute in their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the nation. As part of their relentless pursuit of peace, these forces will continue to target and dismantle terrorist networks that threaten the country’s stability.

The government has reaffirmed its determination to continue these operations at full pace to rid the country of foreign-supported militancy. Despite the sacrifices, the operation in Kulachi marks another step in Pakistan’s ongoing battle against terrorism and extremism.
