Flower exhibition begins at Allama Iqbal park

Rawalpindi: A three day long Gul-i-Dawoodi (Chrysanthemum) flower exhibition has organized by the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) at Allama Iqbal Park Rawalpindi.

In festive setting the inauguration ceremony was held and attended by Chairman Cabinet secretariat Malik Abrar Ahmed, Rawalpindi Commissioner Engineer Aamir Khattak, Director General PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, senior officers, distinguished guests, and a large number of citizens.

At the opening ceremony Chairman Cabinet Secretariat Malik Abrar Ahmed said that the three-day Gul-e-Daudi exhibition organized by PHA was a welcome initiative. He said that such events not only promote environmental awareness but also help counter the effects of environmental pollution.

He further added that earlier a three-day flower exhibition was also arranged by the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, which was widely appreciated by the public.

The Chrysanthemum exhibition feature a wide variety of flowers and other visually appealing floral arrangements, presented for public enjoyment. A large number of families and people from all walks of life showed keen interest and participated.

The attendees said that PHA initiative of the flower exhibition is a good well gesture. According to official the objective of the exhibition is to provide citizens with an opportunity to enjoy natural beauty, promote environmental awareness, and offer positive recreational activities.
