Web Desk: YouTube has officially removed the controversial “Lazawal Ishq” or “Eternal Love” in Pakistan. This was mainly due to severe backlash online.
Before being taken off “Lazawal Ishq” had already aired 50 episodes on the streaming platform. The show is still available in many other countries such as United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, United States of America, Kuwait, France, Germany and United Kingdom.
The format of the show was similar to British hit reality Tv show “Love Island”. The show was pushing some boundaries that local entertainment usually avoids.
The show posted on its Instagram page.
“Our programme might not be watchable in Pakistan due to political reasons,”

At the same time it also advised its Pakistani audience to use a vpn if they wanted to watch the show.
When the first episode of the reality show was aired it received mixed signals online. Many of the reactions wanted the show to be banned however some of them loved the show.
The criticism was addressed by Ayesha Omar in a heartfelt social media post. It was revealed by her that her mother had watched the first episode. Her mother had enjoyed the episode and according to her, her mother’s opinion was the only one that mattered to her.
The actress further shared that her mother found the show very different and interesting. Her mother after watching the first episode appreciated how young people expressed choices, emotions and opinions in a balanced way.
