Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musadik Malik said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rejected multiple times the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) offers to help it form the government after the 2024 general elections.
Musadik Malik revealed, while speaking on a private media channel, that PPP’s senior leader Khurshid Shah was the person who tried to offer PTI on the telephone for the first time, as Khurshid Shah showed willingness on behalf of PPP to vote for PTI for the government formation.
“PTI was also told to form a government and open Form-45 and Form-47 under its own supervision to verify results,” he said.
PPP leader Nadeem Afzal Chan had also offered PTI to form a government, but PTI turned down the offer of Chan as well, Musadik Malik claimed.
However, after the 2024 general election, Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N) formed the coalition government with the help of PPP and other small parties.
