Two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, guided by precise intelligence, resulted in the elimination of nine Khawarij. The operations were conducted in Tank and Lakki Marwat of KP. The operations resulted in deaths of 7 Khwarij in Tank and 2 deaths in Lakki Marwat.
In Tank based on intelligence based information the security forces were able to locate the hideouts of Fitna al Khwarij. 7 Khwarij were killed after exchange of heavy gunfire. Similar operation took place in Laki Marwat which resulted in two khwarij being sent to hell.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the eliminated militants were involved in terrorist activities against the security forces and law enforcement agencies, as well as in the targeted killings of innocent civilians. Search and clearance operations are ongoing in the area to eliminate other militants operating under Indian sponsorship.
According to ISPR, under Vision Azm-e-Istehkam, the campaign by the forces and law enforcement agencies against terrorism will continue in full swing.
