Islamabad: Religious scholar Mufti Abdul Qavi has once again drawn widespread attention on social media after making unusual claims about Bollywood actresses, including Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aishwarya Rai.

Claims About Kareena Kapoor

Qavi, known for his controversial remarks and public antics, recently claimed that he was once married to Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan. In a viral clip, he suggested that marrying Hindus is permissible in Islam, citing the existence of a “holy book” called Veer. He also called into question Kapoor’s real-life marriage to actor Saif Ali Khan, asserting that their union is invalid. The claims raised eyebrows as the alleged Nikkah supposedly took place in 1982, when Kapoor was only two years old.

Targeting Aishwarya Rai

In the same viral video, Qavi turned his attention to another Bollywood star, Aishwarya Rai. He speculated that tensions with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, could lead to a separation, after which she might propose marriage to him within a few months. He added that he would first convert Rai to Islam, giving her the name Ayesha Rai, drawing a parallel to Rakhi Sawant, another Indian celebrity who previously claimed to embrace Islam and adopt a new name.

A Pattern of Controversy

Mufti Qavi has a long history of making provocative statements about female artists and social media personalities. He has been seen in contentious photos with figures like Qandeel Baloch and Hareem Shah, and has previously offered marriage to Rakhi Sawant publicly, who responded by criticizing him as “very different” and difficult to tolerate.

Social Media Reaction

The clips and claims quickly went viral, sparking ridicule and disbelief across social media platforms. Netizens called Qavi’s remarks absurd and questioned his credibility, highlighting a growing pattern of controversial antics from the cleric.

While Abdul Qavi continues to generate headlines with his bold and unusual statements, his comments underscore a mix of social media spectacle and religious controversy, keeping him in the spotlight amid ongoing public debate.
