Web Desk: Consumers in Pakistan have a rare opportunity to install affordable and clean energy solutions ahead of the summer season. A sharp decline has been recorded in the Solar System prices in Pakistan.

In winter the power consumption in the winter decreases. This has led to significant drop and reduction in the costs of solar panels. The houses planning to shift to solar energy can benefit from this fall in prices.

Once the summer returns these prices are expected to increase again.

About Rs. 150,000 price reduction have been observed in 5Kw to 15Kw solar systems as confirmed by the markets. The new price for a 5Kw now stands at Rs. 550,000, including an inverter, panels and essential accessories.

Effectively from December 2025 a 7kw system is now available for Rs. 625,000. This setup is capable of running a washing machine, a refrigerator, lights, fans and two 1.5-ton inverter air conditioners.

The price of 15kw system is now priced at Rs. 1.3 million and the price of 10kw system has fallen to Rs. 900,000.

These larger systems are suitable for small commercial units and spacious homes, offering the ability to run multiple refrigerators, air conditioners and other heavy appliances simultaneously.

This price reduction comes shortly after President Zardari’s temporarily suspension of 16% General Sales Tax (GST) on solar consumption. He also directed the Federal Tax Ombudsman to conduct a review of the matter.

The combination of tax relief and lower prices has created the best buying moment for consumers considering solar installation.

Industry experts say the combination of lower prices and tax relief has created the best buying moment for consumers considering solar installation.
