Metro Station in Delhi

Web Desk: A car exploded near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi, a high-security zone, on Monday evening, setting off panic in the area, officials said. The blast ignited the vehicle and spread to three to four nearby cars.

Sources indicated that several people sustained injuries while nine people lost their lives in the incident. Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received a call around 6:55 pm and dispatched seven fire tenders, which brought the blaze under control within a short time. Thick smoke engulfed the vicinity before police and fire teams contained the situation.

Security Response and Investigation

Authorities cordoned off the site while forensic experts examined the scene to determine the cause. Delhi Special Cell and NIA teams arrived at the spot, and top security officials are overseeing the ongoing probe. Officials have not confirmed any foul play, but investigations continue.

Explosion Causes and Public Reactions

The blast caused damage to three to four nearby vehicles, prompting swift action from emergency services. Social media has seen speculation linking the incident to broader regional developments, though officials urged caution until investigations yield concrete findings. Analysts said the timing of the explosion, following recent crackdowns on terror modules in Faridabad, NCR, and Jammu & Kashmir, raises questions about possible motives.

Raw Sponsored Accounts Implicate Pakistan for the Blast

Some raw sponsored twitter accounts are blaming Pakistan over this saying “Passing of 27th amendment in Pakistani senate to make Asim Munir an unaccountable master of Pakistan and car blast at red fort in Delhi Look connected.
Pakistani mindset people are plenty in Delhi, they shown their reality in full glare during Shaheen Bagh.”

One other says “The blast in Delhi today raises serious suspicion, coming just hours after major crackdowns on terror modules in Faridabad, NCR, and J&K. It appears the handlers are rushing to execute their plans before being caught. The real motive will unfold as investigation progresses.”

Authorities Maintain Vigilance

Police and security forces have increased surveillance in the area, warning the public to stay alert while the investigation continues. Officials stressed that the situation is under control and that no further threat has been detected.
