Fugitive Adil Raja’s lie finally exposed , British court gives clean chit to ISI

⏱ 2 minute read

The court ruled Adil Raja's allegations to be false and ordered him to pay 3.5 million pounds (about fourteen million Pakistani rupees) in damages.
The London High Court has ruled in favour of Brigadier (R) Rashid Naseer that all allegations made by Adil Raja against Brigadier (R) Rashid Naseer are false, baseless and malicious. Pursuant to the court ruling, the judge ordered Adil Raja to pay Brigadier (retd) Rashid Naseer £350,000 (approximately 140 million Pakistani rupees) as damages. The suit was filed in June 2022, when Adil Raja made a number of baseless and provocative allegations against Brigadier (retd) Rashid Naseer. During the decision, the judge remarked why Brigadier (retd) Rashid Naseer claimed only £50,000 in damages, when he should have demanded far more, as the charges against him were of a very serious nature. The court clarified that Adil Raja could not produce any evidence of the allegations made against the ISI in the murder of late Arshad Sharif. Thus, the decision of the London High Court has once again given a clean chit to the ISI of Pakistan. The judge in his decision rejected Shahzad Akbar's statement as unreliable. Further, the court wrote that Adil Raja damaged an innocent person's reputation by making false allegations against him, whereas “it is not necessary to lie in public interest, but to tell the truth.”
The court has restrained Adil Raja from repeating any old allegations against Brigadier (retd) Rashid Naseer in the future. This decision is not only the success of an individual case but also the role of false propaganda, fake narratives and social media
