Hot, dry weather expected across Pakistan

WEBDESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has announced that the monsoon season has ended in most parts of the country, with no major weather changes forecast in the coming days.

According to the department, hot and dry weather is expected in flood-affected areas of Punjab and Sindh, which may also slow down recovery and rehabilitation work.

The Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) confirmed that the monsoon season has officially concluded from today. He said that with the rains now over, the government and institutions should focus on helping affected communities and restoring damaged areas.

The report noted that northern parts of the country will experience mild weather at night, while daytime temperatures are likely to rise in the plains, particularly in Punjab and Sindh. Experts added that most regions of Pakistan are expected to remain under dry weather conditions until mid-October.
